Westin Resort & Marina Key West
Westin Resort & Marina Key West Reviews
Nice hotel (if you like to be right next to cruise ships!) Dec 22, 2007
The Westin in Key West was a very pleasant hotel to spend a few nights! I rarely stay in places that cost more than $20 per night but when family offers to pay, I am more than happy to stay in a nice hotel!!
It is located in walking distance to the famous Mallory Square and Duval Street. The only bad things about the location are that the cruise ships dock right in front of the hotel frequently and not only block what would have been a nice ocean view, but make the area very crowded with tourists from the ship. If you don't mind noise and lots of people...it is a wonderful place to stay. I think every room has a balcony and there are 2 buildings - one with a pool in the center. The food was surprisingly good for a hotel too and there was the sunset bar on a sun deck which was perfect for watching the sunset while drinking a Corona! Rooms cost anywhere from $300 - $700 USD per night and have all the standard amenities of most hotel rooms. The staff were very friendly as well and definately went out of their way to make us feel welcomed! You can park your car in the parking garage for $12 per day or valet it for $18 per day. And it is one of the few hotels in Key West that allows dogs. The hotel is one block from Duval Street where a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops are located. It is right next door to the Aquarium and Mallory Square. Part of the Key West 2007 Trip(s) travel blog |
