Westin Maui Resort and Spa

The Westin in Kaanapali Beach Resort (just up the road from Lahaina) is a great hotel to stay at with the family. The rooms are fairly large and run about the same price as the hotels neighboring it. The staff is really friendly and helpful when you need it. Probably the best attraction is the pool(s). The hotel boast three pools. One of them plus the spa is for adults 18 years old and over. This is right next to the bar as well and is above the two other pools so you have a nice view of the ocean. The other 4 pools are interconnected. In the upper one there is a cave with a small whirlpool off to the slide, as well as waterfalls that you can stand under. The lower one has a place to play water volleyball and large slide (128 feet) that anyone can have fun on. The pools are large and can provide hours of entertainment. Right next to the pool is a pool side restaurant that serves anything from pizza to tuna fish sandwiches. Its got good food and you can still stay next to the pool and relax. The next best thing is that this hotel sits right on Kaanapali beach. A two second walk and you are on white sandy beach that stretches for three miles. You can rent beach cabanas for two from the Westin that provide shade and a comfy place to sit. The sand stretches fairly far out into the ocean so you can go out and play. At times the surf can be somewhat big, so just be careful.

Another great option that the Westin offers is the workout center, available to all who stay at the Westin. It has something for everyone who works out and will allow you to not miss a workout session. Right next to the workout facility is the $5 million dollar spa. Now, I have never been in the spa but if the hotel spent $5 million dollars on it, it has to be nice.

The rooms boast Heavenly Beds and Heavenly Baths. Additionally, newly refurbished Ocean Tower rooms feature new furniture and 32” flat screen televisions. You have a view of the wonderful Pacific Ocean or the west Maui Mountains. A great place to stay in a great location!
