West Side Market Cafe Cleveland Reviews
Not Impressive May 02, 2011
Another somewhat famous foodie stop in the United States, I've seen the West Side Market featured on the Food Network (Rachel Ray's $40 A Day) as well as even getting mentioned in the American version of The Office.
I was there a few years ago, and maybe if I went back now, I would have a different outlook on this market, which is little more than a farmer's market, except the produce isn't locally produced. It was full of mainly vendors that had decided that they wanted to get into the produce business. Or people who wanted to get into the meat business.
Yes, there are some unique things at The West Side Market, such as being able to find many varieties of perogies from the perogie seller, but if you can't take them home and cook them up, then what good is it?
I was really unimpressed by the West Side Market as a foodie, and I wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone else.
