West bay is a beautiful, picturesque vilage just to the south of West End. A number of hotels line the beach along with restaurants and a couple of dive shops.
West Bay offers exceptional snorkelling especially towards the point of the island on a site called Mandys Eel garden, which if you are lucky may offer you a glimpse of stingrays as well as the resisdent eels.
West Bay can easily reached by taxi boat from west End.

I am leaving the day after my sea kayak trip ends and my guide suggests that I stay at his condo in West Bay.  Sounds like a good idea.  West Bay is the slightly more swanky town on the island.  It is laid out along the beach and the best way to see it is just to walk down the beach.  We do that and go bar hopping down the beach as sunset is happening.  There are lots of places to choose from (but prices are definately cheaper in West End)  After having a nice su...
