Wersal Hotel Zakopane Reviews
Old Fashioned Charm Jul 16, 2015
After the Novotel in Warsaw this was almost the complete opposite, and I think I loved it for it. From the train and bus stations you have to make you way through the hustle and bustle of Krupowki and then turn right but you could be a million miles away when you get to the Wersal Hotel.
Lovely pleasant girl at reception checked us in and gave us all the information we needed. It looked and felt old, dated to a bye gone era but a good feel to it.
Room was good size, and had an extra single bed in it, but no mod cons just an old TV on the dresser and a table and chairs. It did have a balcony, that got the sun in the afternoon and evening, which when looking at pictures of places to stay before going was what made it jump out to me, and it didn't disappoint.
The other main thing I was looking for was location, and it really couldn't have been much better, as Zakopane is a busy resort and sprawls out quite a bit.
They also seemed to have apartments, surrounding the garden, as watching from the balcony, we spent most of time in the hotel out on the balcony :), we would see nuns floating about in and out of them and then see them in the hotel.
Bed was comfortable and the bathroom more than sufficient, and the lack of amenities wan't an issue for us on a short stay but may be if you were visiting longer. There was no bar in the hotel, and breakfast was served in the dining room.
Breakfast buffet was OK, with the usual meat and cereal stuff and other things that were unrecognisable, but other than tea and fruit juice I wasn't caring :D
For what it lacked in amenites it more than made up for in character and I would happily stay there again

Decent Hotel among Many Other Decent Hotels in Zakopane Jun 05, 2012
Zakopane is one of the most visited tourism destinations of Poland, so, as you can imagine, it is staffed with all possible types of hotels, guest houses, hostels etc. for the variety of tastes.
Hotel Wersal is located in the very nice place with the fabulous view on the mountain of so-called "Sleeping Knight".
They have very good breakfasts (again - for different tastes) and one of the best and most comfy bed I have ever slept in.
Room is supplied with almost all necessary amenities (except the hair dryer, which you can get though in the reception).
Overall - very pleasant experience.
