Weribee Open Range Zoon Reviews
Africa in Australia! Jun 01, 2011
If you come to Melbourne, it would be a great idea to check out this zoo!!
I went early one morning in September and booked an open vehicle tour.
As I was so early there were only 2 others on the tour which meant it was intimate and we had alot more freedom to choose where we went.
In the main field with the Rhino's and Giraffe's we had one of the Rhino's come up and scratch his horn on the truck. Apparently a big no no, but who was going to tell him off eh?
We then moved on the watch 3 Giraffe's run across the field... OMG an awkwardly amazing site! The guide really wanted us to see them run so waited long enough so we could see it happen.
We then went on the see a heap of other animals, including Hippo's and having breakfast with lions and zebras.
I truly believe this is a worthwhile tour. I would not recommend going on the bus tour (included in the normal entry fee) as it's just a huge school bus without much visibility.
