Wells is a tiny city in the English county of Somerset. It is near both Bristol and Bath. It is very pretty, and has a stunning cathedral with one of the world's oldest working clocks. There is also a big fudge shop.
Wells also contains Vicars' close which is claimed to be the oldest purely residential street, with all the original houses intact, in Europe.
The cathedral has a strong tradition of music and there are many musical concerts.
More recently, Wells was the set of the British Comedy "Hot Fuzz."
Wells is worth a stop if you are interested in traditional British architecture.
