Every American who comes to Wellington says “It’s San Francisco!” so the locals were very …

In November 2006 I travelled to the southern hemisphere to live and work in New Zealand and Australia for twelve months. I was in Australia for about two months, and for the rest of the year I lived in New Zealand. I had the opportunity to travel back across the tasman sea three times for short breaks when I was able to get time off work. It was a really good experience to live on the other side of the world for one year.

We arrived into Wellington on friday at around 4pm and hunted for accomodation, frustratingly, for over an hour. Finally we bit the bullet and split up, Mam and Al in a guest house and me, Em and Ad in the YHA, all a stone's throw from things. Ad and I took the hostel up on the offer of $5 fush and…

You know, I'd forgotten just how much fun it is to plan for a trip. Granted, the trips I've planned prior to this have been for groups of people, not just me. But I'm sure I'll manage.
I've still got roughly 4 and a half months to go and as usual, I'm leaving buying my plane tickets to…

It was amazing to be in New Zealand,
a place I never dreamed of going too. The bus that was supposed
to pick the group up did not show so we had to separate to get to Weir
House. It was weird being on the “wrong” side of the road. We got up to
Weir House, a st…
