Wekalet El Ghoury is a historic beautiful building that hosts an Islamic Arab arts and cultural performances as the Tanoura dancing.

Tanoura Sufi dancing, also known as Daraweesh is a cultural folkloric art where the performers keep rotating for very long, wearing some colored skirts, dancing on the rhythm of Arabian music.

the show starts off by a group of Tabla drummers, to perform some amazing tabla pieces, after that each one stand out to play a solo while other drummers playing in the background.

instruments as nay, rababa ( a one string instrument),sagat.

it's very surprising that a professional show like that is for free and I mean it, the moment you see them you will be hypnotized and get in the trance.

the show is every Wednesday and Saturday, starts at 8 PM but you gotta come at 7 o'clock to secure a seat.

Last week I had one amazing, memorable night at " Wekalet El Ghory". the place was easy to get, after getting off the cab you need to walk for about 2 minutes, make the Azahr Mosque on your left and take the 1st right the Ghory house on your left.

definitely one of the best places to start searching for, I highly recommend it.
