Luxury of excellent food, wine and service in Heidelberg, Germany. Fantastic food, wonderful wines, great location and expensive--but worth every penny! I had the leg of venison while others had the roast duck. The wines were all good (our group tried 2 whites and 2 reds) and the service by the English-speaking wait staff (and university students) was superb. The Weisser Bock is open on Monday nights when most places in Germany are typically closed.
We were on our way to another place nearby that was closed on Monday's in 2008 and the taxi driver took us to Weissen Bock instead because he said "they had the best food in town" so we had a romanitc meal here in 2008.
