The weather in Cairo is actually really nice all year round. Unlike in the south, it really doesn't even get into the 100's (F) in the summer. For the period of time you are going, it will be very reasonable...85 degrees F on average. The lows never dip too far either, and in the evenings it should still be in the 60's F. So, you would be all right wearing something for warm weather. On a side note, if you are female, you need to consider the culture. It is very frowned upon for women to wear shorts in Cairo. It's just the way things are there. Men can get away with shorts fine, but you won't see any of the locals wearing them.

The weather was brutal, it was unbelievably hot, I tried to avoid this weather by staying in my hotel most of the time. At night I would walk around Namaa Bay and enjoy the cool weather at night. There is a lot to do in Sharm… Egypt |

When I first arrived to Cairo, the first thing that shocked me was the weather. Yes the weather. I expected it to be hot and dry, but what I got was cold and windy. I even had to break out my Northface fleece. I would also like to dedicate this space to the time zones. After hopping through 4 countries… Sands of Time |

…diminishing light, until all one can discern are starlit silhouettes, silent sentinels between heaven and earth, the results of constant weathering through the ages. Eventually they will all disappear leaving nothing but their crystalline remains to dust the desert floor.
After pitching camp, now there’s a euphemism for you. Camp consisted of nothing more than a blanket thrown on the sand, and a sleeping… Not your typical Tombs & Temple Ramble |

We had a nice walk back to the hotel, the weather was a lot cooler and so we sat in the city centre for a few minutes just taking Cairo in. We headed back to the hotel around 9pm and slept shortly after. We had to be ready for an airport pickup at 6am the next… Day One: Salam Alaykum Cairo |
