great unnamed resturant for real Thai food Apr 06, 2011
This place is owned and run by 5 Chinese Thai sisters, so we call it "Sisters". Like the best Thai eateries, it doesn't have a name. There is a shoe maker to the left of the entrance.

I live in Thailand near this place. Criteria for real Thai food includes: nothing in English (maybe they have menu in English somewhere), folding tables, plastic table cloth, plastic chairs, the cook is out front where you can see it being done, etc.

All the food is exceptional. Has the usual stuff tourists are familiar with, done perfectly with fresh ingredients. Some I especially like are morning glory with pork, garlic chicken, Tom Yam in many variations.

Thai wife pointed out that for certain dishes they take extra care, such as frying up the garlic before adding the chicken, that you don't see most places.

We usually spend about $6 for dinner, which includes 3 dishes, 2 plates of rice and some beverage wife likes. We have to argue with them to take a tip (we're regulars)
they want a pic. Here's a pic
