American style bar.. May 07, 2012
Well, if you are looking for American style bar.. this is it. It's full of foreigners travelers and some few locals.. Live music choice is basically rock and its loud. Food is somewhat American-ish and tastes alright. The service is kind of slow when it's packed, but on the whole you will enjoy yourself. Watch out for pickpockets, and don't leave your drink unattended. After you are done partying, before you head back to your hotel, look for the bakery near the port and get your hands on freshly baked croissants...

Social atmosphere, young crowd Aug 14, 2011
Wayne's is a great way to begin a night out in Nice. Nice is a fairly small and walkable city, and seeing as there isn't a great deal of bars in town, Wayne's attracts both tourists and locals alike, offering a diverse mix of young people. The prices are average... well, average for the south of France. Drinks begin at about 7 euros. Good news for ladies however, French men are not shy about buying drinks in exchange for some simple conversation. Dress is casual, although the French do possess an inherent sense of style. Wayne's closes around 3 as do most bars in Nice, but if you stick around outside the entrance afterwards, all of the locals know which direction to head for the after hours bars. I recommend "Pompeii," Live music and locals... makes for a great night. However the after hours joints do tend to be a bit more exclusive. It is easiest to get in with either a few ladies in front of the crew, or some accompanied by some Nice natives. Also, do not show up to any bars with a hoard of tourists... if traveling with a large group, break up into smaller groups when entering. Last tip for getting into bars, greet the door men with a simple "Bonsoir." No need to be fluent in French, but a little bit of cultural acknowledgement goes a long way.
