Last year I went backpacking in New Zealand and thought:So close to Fiji and what a waste not to fly to this beautiful island! So we spontaneously booked a flight to Nadi and didn't waste our time to stay on the main island but to visit the Yasava islands! We visited Tavewa, one of the small northernmost islands.Next stop was Kuata, my favourite one! And the last one was South Sea island, the smallest island I've ever seen.

Well I am about to embark on a trip which is the first of its kind for me, I am taking time out from the UK to go and discover countries I have never visited before. I'l be starting in Oz, Perth-Sydney-Cairnes-Brisbain, the to NZ, Christchurch-Auckland, Fiji, Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia. To keep track of my travels keep logged on!

after a very long trip from Rome we get to Nadi (Viti Levu) where we start a combination of three cruises (3,4 and 7 days) for 2 weeks in the Yasawa and North-eastern Islands. A small ship (Cpt. Cook cruises), not so many passengers (30-70), great crew, very nice and different travel companions (some trouble with thei accents...) and really warm and oen local villagers. Weather at times problematic (wind, waves, rain) but mostly good. Very relaxing. Beautiful undersea scenery!

Having been on an island where there was 2 of us it was nice to hit a place that was a bit busy. Manta ray was one of the more posh resorts in the Yasawas. got there and recognised a few faces which is always nice, and headed down to the beach for some beach volleyball, there were only two of us at first, me and dave, which wasnt much fun but more people joined in and i got a bit rosey faced in the sun. did not really do much in the evening but there was some really good curry buffet for dinn...
