Outstanding hostel that gives you something to do every night Mar 26, 2012
In three backpacking trips to Europe, I've stayed in a wide variety of hostels and Way Hostel is near the top. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, the location is right by a metro stop, a full kitchen is available, and internet use is free. I don't recall if there was laundry on the premises. The staff is friendly and helpful.

However, the big drawing point of the place is that there is something to do every night. Hostel-organized events seemed to be a common theme in Spain and Portugal, and Way Hostel was one of the best. There were daily walking tours of the city in the morning, some kind of evening/dinner time activity (tapas tour, flamenco show, etc), and a nightly pub crawl. I met a ton of a people and got a great taste of the local culture joining these events.

If there's a knock on the place, it's the lack of a social common room. The largest common space is the TV room, but like most TV rooms, it's filled with silent TV watchers. The kitchen is cozy enough to strike up conversation, but really I met everyone at the events.

If you want a nice quiet bed to come home to after a wild night out in Huertas and a place where it's easy to make new friends on your own or in a group, this is the place for you.

Awesome Stay Nov 27, 2009
Rooms were super clean and lockers for belonging. Nice big clean kitchen and basic breakfast in the morning. Wished the computers were ALL working, not just one. The staff were fun, but they didn't have very good maps for the city. We ended up hanging at the hostel for 3 days and didn't really see much of the city... So it was a nice place to hang out and veg. Their lounge room isn't all that comfy, but it was alright.

Was a bit disappointed with TAPAS TOUR the hostel offers. Would like to eat more tapas instead of getting the drink, AND THEN go on the pub crawl after. I was too hungry with only the 3 tasters for Tapas. could be more offers for day tours and other activities for the area. But had a nice time overall.
