Wax Museum Saint Louis Reviews
Don't Waste Your Time Jan 02, 2010
Let our spur of the moment decision spare you the visit -- don't waste your time.
For an $8 admission, you walk through four or five floors of wax figures behind glass windows. The figures have not been taken care of, some had broken appendages and all were extremely dusty. There was a Hall of Christ, depicting Biblical scenes, such as the Last Supper, which I thought was sacrilegious. I didn't think it was done in good taste at all. The organization of the place was confusing and some of the figures didn't even accurately look like who they were -- I thought Mark McGwire was Albert Pujols. We avoided the Hall of Terror. There is a warning sign listing that if you suffer from various conditions, not to enter. I just wasn't interested in seeing these figures.
We joked that the wax figures were probably the rejects from Madame Toussaud's... but I think that is even being nice when describing the characters. Maybe twenty years ago, the Wax Museum was a pretty neat place -- but not now.
