Wattana Resort

Wattana Resort is one of those places where it is very difficult not to feel relaxed because the place is so peaceful. This is exactly what we were looking for in a holiday. The kids and people added to the buzz about the place but there was no traffic, no loud music and no distractions. All the serious partying was in the village centre and at Haad Rin on the other side. We could then walk (OK stagger) back and not be disturbed by the absurd drunken shrieks (oh sorry that was us!).

The villa that we stayed in was recently built and was huge - family size with two double beds. We just liked the space and so used both of the beds and had two different views in the morning. The villa was near the beach and in the sun so the aircon came in handy. We enjoyed lazing on the veranda and watching the world and his wife go by. Lazy days.

Eat loads of food. The chef spoke no English but smiled as if she was enjoying herself or knew something we didn't. Tasted great.
