Waterloo Center of Arts Jun 23, 2011
The Waterloo Center for the Arts is a collection of several galleries across the city of Waterloo with one central building on Commerce St.

The main central building was the one I explored. It had three full galleries inside along with art hung in hallways and a little gift shop.

My first impression of the art center was that it was kind of loud. The center had a youth pavilion inside that parents could bring young children too. I could hear them shouting and playing when I entered. I could also hear them while walking through the gallery space, but not nearly as loud. The youth pavilion is NOT FREE

The Gallery space was clean and spacious. Two galleries each featured a single artist and the third was a collection of Haitian Art.

Outside and through out the city are interesting and fun pieces of public art

The place is definitely worth visiting.
