Belfast Waterfront opened for business in 1997 and has played a key role in Belfast’s economic and social development since then. As Belfast emerged from the reality of civil strife, military conflict and social division, into the new more peaceful possibility post the 1998 ‘Good Friday Agreement’ this landmark architectural development has come to symbolise modernity, progress and optimism. The city is now recognised as a major European destination for conferencing, culture and business investment.

Whats on offer

The Waterfront an award-winning, purpose-built conference, arts and entertainment centre offering a variety of facilities including: Main Auditorium, a small Studio venue, 14 meeting rooms, gallery space, a gift shop, a very good restaurant and two bars.

The operation now employs 50 full-time employees and more than 100 casual members of staff.

To date, they claim to have: welcomed more than five million visitors; hosted more than 2,000 national and international conferences; staged more than 3,400 arts and entertainment events; sold more than three million tickets and attracted more than 90,000 overseas conference delegates.
