i have been to this temple at least 5 times already, the first time i when here is just a random pick from the map of bangkok, but i never imagine it will grant my wishes....my first time there, i made a wish, that if given a chance to come back to bangkok, i said i will not miss not to visit & pray there..although im a catholic...i still respect their religions....i think its all about faith....so faith has brough me back to bangkok 5 times already.....so i hope you try to see this solemn place, just bring a towel & a bottle of water...coz its a long way to go ....up.....aside from a wonderful place to see...but the added attraction to this is you can see the whole bangkok...& the molst important about this place is ... according to the people of thailand...some of the relics of buddha is buried here....so i suggest you come & see it for yourself....

The view is a strange one, tumbledown shacks and grotty apartments are everywhere, while inbetween there are the roof tops of temples peeking out, which are so lavish and obviously expensive that it is almost laughable. Monks, who I assume make some sort of vow of poverty sure do have nice swanky pads to pray in. Within Wat Saket (Wat means temple) there is a huge… Oops, that key wasnt important was it?

We couldn't help but wonder about how the money is distributed if many people are not living in houses, but the temples are all covered with gold.   The Golden Mount is housed in the grounds of Wat Saket, a large temple encircled by Buddhas. The temple is very ornate, and we sat outside in the grounds for ages enjoying the quiet tranquility.   Just across… What wat is wat?
