A Great Time To Visit Washington DC! If you don't like crowds...go in January. Although we had a few days of pretty cold weather, overall it was great. No lines!! You don't need a car...just a Metro pass. My daughter arived ahead of us and bought 7 day passes for $22 each. Easy way to move around the city.

My Grandmother always wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom....so, I took her one spring! It was great touring DC on our own ...seeing the White House {no, we didn't get an invite to tour it} and the Liberty Bell.....as well as seeing the tulips and Cherry Blossoms.
