Here are some pictures of the Capital, its very nice and well kept. In the summer this place is very crowded with torists.

I spent the first week of June in Washington D.C.-much of my time was spent for business travel but I did have the opportunity to enjoy a few sites. Namely the Holocaust Memorial, National Archives and a Bette Davis b/w movie showing at the National Theater. Sixth time I have visited D.C. and there is always something new to see!

Today I met up with about 20 other couchsurfers (www.couchsurfing.com) in Washnington, DC for the annual Cherry Blossom festival.  We first met to have lunch at the Dupont Grille which gave us all a chance to meet each other.  From there we walked from Dupont all the way down to the Tidal…

I haven't been there as a tourist when since I was a kid. It's a great city. So much to explore.

I didn't do my usual spreadsheet itinerary this time since our main reason of vacation was for a mini family reunion.  So we relied heavily on the AAA tour guide book for D.C. and VA. We arrived at Dulles airport around Friday night at 11:30p and took a taxi to the Country Inn and Suites…

My trip round the USA last year; my first holiday on my own...!

This was my Winter Getaway. Had some pretty bad weather while we were there (extremely cold and snowy). But I got to see a play and visit the museums I wanted to see, so I was happy.
