I took a trip to DC to go to the hill for ALS Advocacy week. Basically to try and pass a bill to help people with disease that my father also has Lou Gehrigs (aka ALS). I got to meet some interesting people and quite a few congressmen too-- that was interesting.

That was the noise we all heard as the plane was taxiing to the runway for takeoff.  After about 20 minutes of taxiing, the pilot comes on the intercom and says that we needed to head back to the terminal so that the mechanics could check out the problem and see if it was just some piece of lo…

I've never done a blog before.  I'm not much of a speller, so I've always just sat back and enjoyed my friend Kelly's blog's instead.  I've never gone a trip such as this before either.  I decided today- due to lack of sleep and to much coffee I'm sure, that Kelly had done enough wor…

As a native of the DC/MD/VA area I have a soft spot for the sights of the region and try to visit the National Tree each year between Christmas and New Year's. I have family that still lives in the area and a friend from high school who now works for the Library of Congress lives in Alexandria, so we always have someone to visit, which makes the trip even more enjoyable. Here are a few shots from our most recent trip.
