Warung Kopi Jakarta Reviews
Traditional Cafe Nov 14, 2009
I love this place. Since the first time I came here, it has become one of my favorite places to hang out for a good food and ambiance.
The location is pretty hidden, at the corner of the Alun Alun Indonesia, the art and traditional gallery of Indonesia at the fancy Grand Indonesia mall. Once you step in this place, you can really smell the taste of Indonesian culture and traditional.
As said in their webdsite, this café is presenting a unique variety of traditional food, drinks and selected coffees (including luwak coffee) from regions across the country, such as Sumatra, Java, Bali, Sulawesi, Flores, and Papua. The aroma of coffee and a range of unique drinks are complemented by fresh, homemade Indonesian cakes and snacks.
And I could find many varieties of Indonesian traditional food and drinks from different places in Indonesia. Also the snacks that are not easily be found in other restaurants.
What I love more about this place is, it's not so crowded with people as typical Indonesian restaurants, so you can enjoy your lunch, dinner or relax in the evening with friends and family. I guess because of its hidden place, not many people come here just because they pass by, mostly the people who already know and like this place who come here.
If you happen to be in Jakarta and want to taste the real Indonesian food with a good ambiance and taste, I really recommend this place. But speaking about the price, it is pretty expensive in Jakarta as it is at the fancy Gallery and mall. The average a meal and drink is around USD 7 - 10 per person. But it's so worth it.
