Warung Enak - Hatten's two island white, a blend of Balinese and Australian sauvignon blanc.  It's much better than the Balinese only blend offered by Hatten.
Warung Enak - An appetizer someone was creating while we were doing our cooking course.
Warung Enak - The cassava custard cake we made with fresh coconut and raisins.
Warung Enak - A Sumatran soup, it was really tasty
Warung Enak - A spicy fruit salad with mackerel cooked in banana leaves shown in the background.  This was one of the many dishes we made in our course.

Finally a Great Meal in Ubud Jan 04, 2010
Our home town, San Francisco, has a great Indonesia restaurant owned by a friendly Javanese who spoke so highly of Bali. After becoming a regular there we got to know the owner and he convince us of how fabulous Bali was so we went for the New Year season in 2010. Sadly we found the local food in Ubud quite bland and unimaginative at many of the Ubud highlights; Bambu Bali, Cafe Wayan, Kokokkan and et al. When we discovered Warung Enak next to Kuning Kuning, our travel agency, we were pleased that the menu specialized in Indonesia instead of Thai, Pizzas and Indian with a bit of Indonesian thrown in for local flavor.

The menu is beautifully illustrated with lovely photos and accurate descriptions of the dishes they serve. We loved this place so much that we dine there twice and even took their cooking class taught by the head chef herself, Rai. The food arrived at our table hot and ascetically arranged. The wine list feature many of the Hatten wines by the glass which I love since there is only two of us and we tend to drink less wines when having Asian food. If you're staying far from the restaurant you can call them and they will provide you transport to their restaurant. This is a great idea if you want to check out the south side of Ubud where the Arma museum is located.

@Monita, I noticed that but it seemed like most of the places were non-Indonesian so I passed. The last few days we started to crave Mediterranean food but we stay around Jimbaran for that.
