Fajne miasto je.
Warsaw, with a population of just under 2 million, is the capital of Poland. Straddling the Vistula River, it is the largest city in Poland, as well as being the political, economic and cultural center of the country. The city has flourished for hundreds of years but unfortunately, roughly 85% of the old city was destroyed during World War II. Today, the Old Town has been completely rebuilt and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Old Town is the beautiful town square with many shops and restaurants.
Along with of course having a beautiful and historical Old Town, Warsaw is now also a major modern economic hub. Undergoing constant and continual transformation, it is a large global city with many international firms in the city center. It is also home to the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Poland's Largest.
During World War II, the Jewish population was moved to a ghetto and made to live in horrific conditions. This move resulted in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising taking place in 1943 with disastrous results. The second Warsaw uprising took place in 1944 and lasted for 63 days. You can visit the remains of the ghetto in Warsaw, as well as many other historic points of interest. Some of which are the Royal Castle, the Old Praga area (becoming an artistic center), National Museum and the Palace of Culture. Warsaw is waiting for you!

I've never owned a bicycle, therefore my cycling skills are pretty much non- existent. I had mentioned this to Barbara, my Polish friend and guide, and she took to teaching me to ride a bike. Clearly, she didn't see this as a big deal, only that she didn't know what an insurmountable task this was.…

We also started very slow on this wonderful Sunday morning. The sun was shining like the two prior days and like the day before I let my hosts take easy and take their time. They slowly woke up and we had a great breakfast and discussed the plan for the day. Our first goal was to att…
