Warajiya Ise Reviews
An average Ise udon shop Nov 19, 2013
Ise Shrine is very famous all over Japan, so the street in front of the shrine is very crowded. Though there are other popular Ise udon shops, we always choose this Warajiya. Ise udon is thicker than an ordinary udon. The noodles are very soft and chewy. The sauce is dark, thick and little, so you should stir the sauce into udon thoroughly before you eat it. Tekonezushi is a local specialty as well. The history of this sushi is said that when fishermen fished bonito in a boat, they dipped the bonito into soy sauce and ate it with their fingers.
