The accommodation Wanaka's most environmentally friendly, comprises three award-winning stone and timber buildings and makes a homely alternative to hotels, motels, and holiday houses. The lodge and cottages also serve as a romantic Wanaka vacation retreat, offering just the type of intimate accommodation Wanaka is renowned for. More than just accommodation Wanaka Homestead is also ideal for small weddings and a great venue for residential courses, conferences and other exclusive bookings. The Homestead lodge - Friendly hosted Wanaka Accommodation Purpose-built for maximum guest comfort, this Wanaka accommodation offers informal sophistication in five spacious super-king or twin bedrooms. Each guest bedroom has ensuite facilities, fine linen, telephone, writing desk and other special touches designed to make you feel at home. The point of difference for the "master" bedroom is a huge California king bed and double showers and basins. Awaken to coffee aromas and a delicious continental and/or cooked breakfast prepared by your friendly hosts. The comfortable guest lounge is yours to enjoy and by evening is the ideal place to sample a complimentary local wine or beer by the roaring log fire. Whether you prefer bed and breakfast or a "room only" option, the facilities at this Wanaka accommodation are always complimentary and fruit, tea, coffee and treats are bottomless. Self-Contained Cottages - quality Wanaka Accommodation with warmth & character For apartment style Wanaka accommodation with real character, Wanaka Homestead offers two self-contained character cottages. The two-bedroom "cottage" and three-bedroom "barn" provide "Qualmark 4 star plus" luxury, each with generous living areas and guests enjoying all-inclusive facilities. The cottages provide Wanaka accommodation purpose built for groups and families. Children are most welcome. In ski season, the cottages provide Wanaka accommodation with the ambience of a traditional chalet or cabin, but with all the benefits of modern innovation. The 2 bedroom "cottage". The brand new cottage has been crafted in traditional style from local schist stone, providing comfortable Wanaka accommodation for 4. The master bedroom has king bed, ensuite facilities, and French doors leading onto the grassy courtyard. The second bedroom has a twin bed arrangement and an adjacent bathroom with bath and shower. The central open-plan living area is spacious, with full height ceiling, a well-equipped kitchen, seating for 4 in the dining area, and a lounge. The lounge has TV, DVD, French doors leading onto the grassy courtyard, and two sofas - one doubling as pull-out bed for occasional use. The special architectural feature of the cottage is a good old-fashioned hand-finished clay floor. The 3 bedroom "barn". The brand new barn is crafted from cypress timber, and provides comfortable Wanaka accommodation for up to 7 people. The master bedroom has king bed, ensuite facilities, telephone and French doors leading to the grassy courtyard. The second bedroom is attic-style and is usually arranged as king plus single. Bedroom three is also attic style with king. A second bathroom has bath and shower. The living area is spacious, with full height ceiling, a well-equipped kitchen, seating for 6 in the dining area and a lounge. There is TV, DVD and French doors leading to the grassy courtyard. One of two sofas doubles as pull-out bed for occasional use. The barn features a child-safe piece of architectural fun - an internal bridge which spans the living area to connect the attic bedrooms. With prior notice, all beds can be arranged as either king or twin.
