Walking the center - Zurich - TravBuddy

Walking in the center a life-changing experience, you may ask? I'd say, Yes! The Zürich center is beautifully decorated for Christmas, the shops even more lavishly assorted. Walk slowly and open your eyes and ears widely. You'll be amazed with what you'll see and hear. You either love it or hate it, but it is an experience. And every experience changes a man, even if it is just a bit.

If city centers aren't your thing, you can always take the 'Polybahn' (a tram/train/trolley type of thing) up the surrounding mountain and walk your way back to the center. It will keep you of the streets, or better yet: on the streets, for at least a couple of hours.

Also, you can rent a kayak and go on the lake and/or down the river Limmat. Though, I haven't done this myself yet, so I don't exactly know how much it costs or which place is best. Maybe Google can provide the answer to that.
