Walk Around Amsterdam... Live the life! Jan 15, 2008
I cannot stress enough how much I walked around Amsterdam. My mates and I were always walking and this is truly how your discover a city. We got lost, found our way and bumped into some amazing people and interesting sites. This city is all about discovery. You can do the typical tourist things but you really need to immerse yourself in this city. Walk along the canals and get lost. Believe it or not, we were lost half the time, but Amsterdam is so weird (in the best sense of the word) that you'll later find yourself where you began. It's a bit scary but its truly amazing. It's always helpful to have a few adventurous friends by your side! They lead you into places that can be most enjoyable.

Anyways, I’m just walking around and some man walking beside me starts up a casual conversation by saying, “Well, this sure is a strange part of Amsterdam” He seems harmless so I reply and we end up walking around the district for a while, he tells me that… I will never forget... |

Walking around.
It's really pretty easy to walk around Amsterdam since the place is
just filled with tourists. At night, though, you'd feel kinda unsafe
walking in the dark alleys since there might be stoned people or
something! While I was walking home… Gone Dutch! |

…our designated meeting place in a busy part of Amsterdam outside the main train station, I was approached by a girl from a group walking along the street. She was holding her arms out to me and I had no idea what she was going to do.. Anyway, she put her arms around me, grabbed my sunglasses off my face and walked off laughing. Being totally shocked and surprised… Amsterdamned! |

…to convince the guys leering at them to come in, and then every few shops there would be a live sex show, or a normal pub, you go around a corner and your on a strip of shops and restaurants, turn another one and your back in sex shows. I wasn’t very comfortable walking around there, but it was so busy nothing was going to break out in the crowds. The girls… Am I in Amsterdam? |

;) The Vondelpark was very nice to walk around, see people relaxing, playing soccer, cycling. I love that park, just for relaxing and ofcourse to check the hot chicks ;P
After walking trough the park, we went back to the Leidseplein and enjoyed watching 4 guys breakdancing, eating pizza in the New York… Dirty Meetup with Sylvie and JC!!! |
