Wai‘ānapanapa State Park Mar 12, 2010
This is a beautiful park featuring caves, black sand beaches, blow holes, volcanic coastline, and a natural stone arch. It is located in Hana and thus many less people come out to see it (more solitude). We found the scenery to be excellent and the black sand beach was strange but awesome. Black sand has tiny pieces of lava in it and is quite beautiful. The rugged coastline was also pretty dang cool. We were able to go down into a fresh water cave and explore the features within.

We really like the Hana side of the island for this rugged look and feel. We enjoyed romping around this park and the exploration it affords us. While exploring the black sand, there was even a model shooting in the location (due to its beauty).
