Waikiki Beach Overview

Waikiki is a neighborhood in Honolulu on the south shore of the island of Oʻahu, Hawaii. Waikiki Beach is on the shoreline. The neighborhood extends from the Ala Wai Canal on the west and north, to Diamond Head on the east. The shoreline is filled with hotels and shopping areas.

Waikiki Beach is the first stop for most tourists when they arrive in Hawaii. The beach hosts many events each year, including surf competitions, outdoor performances, hula dancing and outrigger canoe races.
