One of many great falls in Columbia River Gorge Aug 01, 2009
Wahkeena Falls at a height of 242 feet is a cascade falls in the Columbia River Gorge. Starting along this gorge about 15 miles east of Portland there are many wonderful waterfalls. This particular falls is just west about .61 miles from Multnomah Falls, the crown jewel of the falls. This falls is also a year round falls although the heaviest in late winter and spring. There are 27 waterfalls along this wonderful gorge although less than half are anywhere near the roadway. Some require hikes of five or six miles to see. Wahkeenah Falls is one of the closer falls, and with a short half mile hike you will be awarded a possibly very wet look at this nice falls.
