Birdwatching and wildlife in the Big Smoke Sep 25, 2013
You wouldn't think a nature reserve could possibly exist in London. Yet, here it is, and it's been voted the nation's favourite nature reserve, no less!

As well as being an obvious place to escape from the hectic pace of the city, the main reason to come here are for the amazing variety of birds that are on view (over 200). Not only that, but the hundreds of thousands of trees and plants have resulted in butterflies, dragonflies, voles, snakes and bats making the Wetlands Centre their home. Never thought you'd see that in London, huh?
