This town is really interesting attraction for russian people because it's the only european town in russia with finnish architecture and everything but unfortunately it doesn't recognize as a really tourist place. silly. i felt so happy when i was there because i didn't expect to see such town in russia. i had a feeling i'm in Finland without getting any visa.

Spent five days in St. Petersburg, Russia. What can I say more than, it was interesting and quite a cultural eyeopener...

Formerly Finnish and a nice stroll around town.  I crossed the border to Finland later in the evening.  It was the most invasive and time-consuming border crossing I've ever experienced.  Even mirrors were run under the bus.  I perfectly understand the Finnish paranoia given the recent bad history, but don't really see why Americans should be so scrutized as well.
