Voyage Sorgun Hotel Manavgat Reviews
Hotel Club Voyage Sorgun Apr 04, 2015
This hotel is located outside of Side, in the municipality of Manavgat. Big Mediterranean evergreen trees surround it and make a nice shadow and smell during the summer. After you pass the main entrance, with a security in a cabin, in front of reception a porter will take your bagage and bring it to your room, for a tip. You get an armbond for ultra all inclusive service, which means eat, drink , use all facilities as much as you like.
My room was in a building next to it. It was a nice room with a balcony and bathroom, where I got the best service each day of my stay. Behind the reception building, through a garden with a pool you come to the main building, where are two restaurants: one for families with kids and another for those without them- couples or singles. When you enter it you find yourself like in a big bakery, a pizzeria, a pattisery and cakebar, a fruit section, spices, grilled food, all kinds of meat, soups, side dishes, at first moment you do not know what to choose. There are also some specialized shops on the floor above it, such as a goldsmith, a souvenir shop, etc., where you can buy postcards and give them to the shop assistant to send them for you. Around the main building are bungallows and restaurants specialized for one national couisine, for what you must make a reservation at the resception desk.
Next to the entrance is a Turkish restaurant, then Japanese, and on the other side is a Mexican, Indian and others. During the summer you will be served by young Turkish men and girls mostly from Germany who work here hard to help their budgete during the rest of the year. Of course, they speak some English too to be able to communicate with mostly Russian guests, which do more than 60% of the guests. There are some Turkish guests cca. 20% and the rest is from other countries.
There was a dancing party every night in a drink bar next to the beach, but I never went there. Right in front of the main restaurant from the beach side is an amphitheater where they hold a dance and music show for guests every night. The hotel has everything to keep you inside, it is like a little town.
If you do want to explore the surroundings you must go outside the hotel, take a dolmus in front of the main entrance and in app. five minutes you'll be in Side or Manavgat on the other side. Walking by the beach outside of the hotel is impossible and forbidden by the security. There is also a security inside of hotel walking among guests, always staying at service for everybody.
There are two more pools between the main building and the long sandy beach, a tennis playground, diving club, a football field, a fitness room, an indoor pool, sauna, etc. There are also snackbars in several places outside the main restaurant where you can alsways have a drink. From the middle of the beach there is a quay full of nice white sunbeds, taken from early morning by those who prefer isolation.
In conclusion, this is a very modern hotel, expensive, more for those who have kids and need security around them, or those who want a passive vacation, like on an isolated island without any or very little need to explore its surroundings.
