Maybe not the nicest place to stay Nov 23, 2007
Maybe we just had bad luck but imo a 5***** hotel should have a better standard. But I can't complain about the staff, everybody was friendly and nice.
Although only opend 6 month before, there were damages from water all over the buildings. Every ceiling was wet, the wallpapers fell off the walls and all in all it looked poor. I've never seen such an unkind hotel.
The wellness area was too small for such a huge hotel (587 rooms). The sauna and hamam offers space for only 20 people but the worst thing was that there were only 3 deck chairs to rest in the rest area. The indoor pool wasn't big enough compared to the amount of people, too. To make it worse, the edge of the pool was covered with wooden tiles and they were rotten already and smelled badly.
The buffet was huge and everything was freshly cooked but it was the same every day. Not a single change :(
The non-smoking area was located in the basement and you had to go up to the first floor to get some drinks. There was no service down there. Non-Smokers were second class guests!!!!
We tried the greek restaurant one night. The food was great but it was too loud. There was live music which was nice but it was soooo loud that a conversation wasn't possible.
The only plus was the beach and we were happy that the weather was great enough to go there and to leave the hotel to explore the surrounding. Being trapped there would have been a desaster.
I've been to turkish 5***** hotels before 3 times and all of them had a much better standard.
But I don't complain. At least I've found the one I love there ;)
