Voss , located on the around 100km from Bergen and 400km from Oslo on the Bergen-Oslo Railway is a scenic little town with good opportunities to get away from the city-hopping. Don't miss Ekstremsportveko (Extremesportsweek) in the end of July which includes kayaking, rafting, skydiving , hanggliding , paragliding, longboarding and many more more or less extreme sports.
In wintertimes there is possible to go downhill or cross country skiing. Voss also serves as a recreation area for the more active people in Bergen.
DO NOT!! miss the Jordalen hike as this is a really scenic area 37km from Voss. Its really scenic and worth a day trip

Reading, surfing and talking about the places to go, the things to do and also remembering stuff from earlier trips is such a fun part of the planning stage before the travels start. At this point i'm just checking out this site for a possible blog. So far so good :-)
