Jan 24, 2007Moscow is a really great city and there is so much to see! If you are travelling there in November I would suggest that you bring your warm clothes and if possible, dress in layers! There are excellent places to eat - such as Azeri foods and there are so many resturants from all the former Russian republics. Make sure you bring/get a map of the underground stations (they are written in Russian, with Russian letters, and most have an English name as well - can be a bit tricky!) and make sure you know where you are going. My experience was that even if many speak English, not many are willing to speak with you or interact too much. I can highly recommend the "Lonely Planet" guide book on Moscow and St. Petersburg - I would have been pretty lost without it! I hope you have a wonderful trip! |
