Get the E-visa before going to Cambodia. You do it all on the internet and it saves you mega time at the Siem Reap airport. It's not any cheaper than the regular visa but it is a time saver.

Trying to get me to purchase the Cambodian Visa off them for 1500b, providing me stories of gangsters and corrupt officals who will exort me while they are "nice" & their "price is nice" so i should secure the visa with them. But again just bullshit, $20dollars on the border so i stuck… On To A Place New. |

I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you travel to Cambodia via the main cities to obtain your visa via the eVisa facility which you can obtain and pay for online. The process of applying for the visa, having it confirmed and issued took all of about 30 minutes - fantastic service!!! At the stop a lady from the tour company offered to 'help' us with our visas, which translated to her filling in the forms for us instead of us doing it ourselves and her then trying to overcharge us considerably for the cost of the visa. Again, we had been well warned and simply refused to pay her to do this… Angkor Wat??? By John. |

Upon entering the airport, we proceed to apply for tourist visa. The forms and counters located on the left side, filling up form with one passport size photo and $20, you will get your visa almost immediately. The officer made you wait in another line to get back your passport with a visa on it, very… Angkor WOW |

Just before the border, a guy comes and gets all our money off us for our Visa, which is now, not only not payable in US Dollars, but is significantly more expensive than it should be.
