A classical American vacation spot. The city comes to life during tourist summer season. The city does an outstanding job to entertain visitors and residents from bands playing on the streets to weekend festivals at the beach stages.

The main attraction of the city is Atlantic Ave, also known as BeachStreetUSA and for locals "the strip". It is located right at the beach. With hotels on the beach side and shopping/entertainment on the opposite side. A walk on the wild side will leave you asking for more as every corner on this street will have a performer (singers, musicians, and even magicians) entertaining you until 11pm. You will not be dissappointed.

The night life includes bars, clubs, and beach events and ends around 2am.

The summer season is great as you will spend the morning and afternoon tanning and swimming at the beautiful beach. After applying some Aloe Vera to your sunburns you will hit the strip for food and entertainment...ending up at a local club under influence of alcohol getting escorted to your hotel room by your friends.

Don't forget the painkillers - for the morning after.

He rules the house and she runs the house.  She makes sure everyone is fed on time and he makes sure that everyone is where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be there.  The house has to be kept clean at all times for her or she will act crazy.  When the neighbor cats come around, since we live in a dog dominated neighborhood,  they are welcome to visit as long as the Little Princess says so.  Otherwise Nizhoni and Onyx will chase them away immediately....

Party on the Beach!

I'm getting used to visiting the beach in the morning!  There must be something about the sound of the waves and sand between my toes that wakes me up in the morning!  I don't spend long, just enough to breathe deep and put my brain in gear! On schedule for today is a luncheon at our niece and nephew's home.  Besides the great company and wonderful food, she has a camera lens to die for!  She allowed me to attach it to my camera and set the tripod out on the patio.  ...

Camping in Virginia Beach

With summer coming to an end, two friends and I decided to take an impromptu week-long camping vacation in Virginia Beach.  We quickly threw our things together, hopped in the car, and made the eight-hour drive down to Virginia that night. We crossed the Chesapeake Bay and reached Virginia around dawn.  When we got there we found out that the campgrounds were fully booked, but luckily there was a monsoon at the time, so there were cancellations that morning and we got a site. ...

Back in Virginia

I woke up really early this day. I guess I was excited cause I was going to get to sleep in my own bed tonight. After the morning routine I started packing and got some coffee at the front desk. After a quick and very small breakfast we were off again. Back on I 95 North towards Richmond but since we had an invitation for dinner we had to do a detour to Newport News again. After only 3 hours of driving we arrived in Norfolk and decided we would see if we could find any more planes or ships fo...
