Time to day goodbye for now to the Historic Triangle and head for the Eastern Shore. To get there, we would use the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. I saw this as one of highlights of the trip. I'd wanted to drive the Bridge-Tunnel for a long time. The 17.6 mile (24 km) highway crossing of the Chesape…

I don't think I've ever actually been to an East Coast beach.  So we drove the 20 minutes over to Virginia Beach so I could get my feet wet.  First stop was at one of the many places serving cheap breakfasts.  With full bellies, we decided to hit the beach.  My cousin and I laid…

I've only camped once before, and that was a few weeks ago with Dan at Sasquatch - but, ever since then, and with the support of my "outdoors" guru, Dan, I've included camping in this trip.  When I talked to him about it, we both laughed at the possibility that I might camp for more than 50% o…

Virginia Beach - Memorial Day Weekend 2008: Virginia Beach Travel Photos
posted by:

We had a great time at VA Beach. It was the first time I was there. Although the strip looked very busy and lively, there werent too many decent bars/clubs to really hang out at. There was one great one we found the last night there. I will have to figure out the name and get back to you but regardless we made the best of it. Weather was great, lots of water attractions to do and the 3 person bicycle ride was the most fun we had. I almost pee'd myself laughing so much.
