Vintage Garden is quite a special restaurant. It looks like something out of a magazine for better homes and interior decoration. It is located in the Jewish Quarter in the vicinity of famous Budapest's ruin bars. It is certainly the best-dressed restaurant in Budapest. In every segment of it you will find colorful flowers and delicate chandeliers. Some walls are entirely made of flowers. Flowers play a dominant theme here and even make guest appearances in the drinks (rose lemonade is yummy). Vintage Garden definitely offers a unique charm. And the charm works for it – the restaurant is packed on a daily basis, making it impossible to get in without a reservation.

Vintage Garden is a girlish place. Most of its customers are girls! It is a perfect place for a hen party, less perfect for a date. The atmosphere isn't too intimate as there are many tables, all next to each other. I went here with G. to celebrate his birthday. I had cold mango soup which wasn't the best. For me it tasted like a fruit mus for kids. Then I had main course which came in a super small portion that couldn't kill even the smallest hunger. However, the desserts were amazing. Desserts are highly inspired by the French kitchen, strawberries in chocolate was my favourite.

The prices at Vintage Garden lie in the medium-high range, so for some it may appear a little on the expensive side for the place.
