Nice little village in Tuscany near Florence where Leonado Da Vinci was born. Not too much to see but worth a short visit.

Roadtrip again. This time I wanted to visit Toscana together with my son. I wanted to go to Italy before the start of the tourist season and this March turned out to be everything what I wished for in an early spring trip.

I like Leonardo, but as all my friends will tell you, I think the guy is overrated. In any case, we went to Vinci to see where Leonardo DaVinci lived. It was a pretty Tuscan town, but I rather liked Cortona better. In any case, we did a little Vinci hike to Leo's supposed childhood home. We took the longer path rather than the short one, but it was nice. The way the fields were really reminded me of home in Minnesota so it was a nice little breath of homey air.
