Village Vanguard Yokohama Reviews
Avocado Burger Heaven Feb 15, 2014
Village Vanguard is a burger joint located on the fifth floor of the Takashiyama building off the Yokohama Train station downtown Yokohama. It can be easily be accessed through the JR lines.
It is a burger establishment with each menu item prepared with pride by friendly service staff. The quality of beef is among the best of any hamburger restaurants. Village Vanguard features the notoriously addictive Avocado Burger and the customer can customize it with other ingredients such as feta cheese, mozzarella, seaweed, fish eggs, and many other ingredients to appeal to both Japanese and western tastes. Do not be alarmed if there is an ingredient that does not appeal to you. Everything listed on their menu is customizable. If something is advertised as containing seaweed on the burger, you can simply ask to have removed and replace with something else.
The burgers and their sides are delightfully generous in their proportions. They are set up to be massive with full of additions so the customer will have to take advantage of the necessary wrapper in order to lift the burger off the plate. Village Vanguard offers your typical yet generous sides such as french fries and waffle fries and a wide variety of salads, with drinks to include to ice cream sundaes and even root beer floats to fatten your meal.
Village Vanguard is a high recommend and I frequent here often. The wait staff is ever friendly and westernized. Do not be surprised if there is wait list as the restaurant can only seat so many customers.
