Village Inn Reviews
A gorgeous little inn outside Yangshuo Oct 07, 2008
It's a little hard to find (especially because there wasn't a sign, but this inn which calls itself Yangshuo's first boutique hotel is wonderful. We found it by accident, wandering through the Moon Hill village (in Chinese it's called Li Cun), we were looking for something besides huge servings of farmers' food, which apparently this village is famous for. We saw some westerners sitting in a garden eating pasta and when we asked the waitress, she showed us a menu featuring "authentic Italian cuisine". It turns out they have an Italian trained chef and you can sit on the roof top looking out on Moon Hill, which is breathtaking. They bring the food up in a little elevator! We just had pizza (which was excellent and salad (quite fresh). The decor is beautifully done - someone really spent some time and money making this place truly special.
