Villa de Oro Boracay Apr 11, 2013
I stayed in Villa de Oro on my first trip to Boracay. This resort is located at Station 2 which is a nice spot for budget travelers. It is right in front of the beach which is great. Their rooms are average. Beds are clean and comfortable. They also serve breakfast and cost is average. If you are a little tight on the budget though, you can get your meals on nearby food shops and restaurants.

There are loads of other resorts nearby which is cheaper and with bigger rooms but generally not beachfront.

Cheap acommodation May 01, 2011
Just stayed for a night and this is pretty cheap, if I remember right, only 1500/night.

Nothing remarkable considering the price but the size of the room is quite good. It's not pretty, just basic so if you plan to be out most of the day and night, this will do as a place to just crash and sleep the intoxicated state :)

So many places to stay in boracay that it seem the best to get a good one is just show up there and shop for a room while there esp bec you get more discount than booking in advance. It seems that booking in advance doesnt have much benefit bec price is lower for walk-ins with the only downside of possibility of inability but considering the mushrooming hotel/resort business there, it's almost impossible not to get a room. The only worry is the location and the price but competition keeps the price low esp for walk-ins.

This hotel is in station 3 and therefore no very central but you could just walk a few bit which is not bad as boracay is quite small and it's fine to walk around anyway. Also, this is close to D' Talipapa which used to be the market place for dining seafood. Still is but a bit rough than the classier options on station 2 and 1.

Also, the sand at station 3 is not as good as 2 and far in comparison with station 1. However, distance is of no problem bec you could just have a nice walk towards the bicer beach part :)
