If you want a no-frills, clean, cheap place to stay in Swakopmund, this is it. The Villa Weise (pronounced Villa Visa) is withing walking distance to everything is Swakopmund. Single, double and dorm rooms are available. THe rooms are equiped with twin size beds, bunk beds and a shared shower and toilet (private if in a private/single room).
Everything about this place is clean, but basic. The price is fantastic (about $11 US for one night) and includes your choice of a hot breakfast (eggs, bacon and toast, coffee or tea), or continental (a yogurt, fruit and museli parfait and muffin). I am staying at the backpacker lodge called Villa Weise (pronounced Villa Visa) in the EHRA dorms... I see that 3 of the 4 beds are taken, and I am looking forward to meeting whomever has nabbed them!… Meeting the other EHRA volunteers |

We arrived and unloaded our belongings into our rooms at the Villa Weise, and then headed out for lunch. Everyone was so excited to have milkshakes---something you only dream of when in the desert! After lunch, Mirka and I did a bit of shopping, then later, we had our farewell group dinner. Afterwards, we all received… Back in Swakopmund |

After settling in to Villa Weise, I met Coleen, a fellow EHRA volunteer. I was told that our group is quite diverse in age and nationalities. We all met for an EHRA meeting and were filled in a bit. We then set off into town for dinner at a lovely… Meeting the other EHRA volunteers |
