Villa Troya Prague

The Villa Troya is in a nice location, near the Zoo and Summer Chateau. The tram is just around the corner making it easy to get into the city centre

But the hotel is not one I would return to. It seemed to be run by a succession of young people (students I guessed) who, though pleasant and willing, didn't seem to have the same feeling of responsibility to care for the guests as an owner would have

My bedroom was comfortable but the bathroom was not cleaned very well for the whole week of my stay. Simple things that you would expect to find in a 3 star hotel were missing: there was no glass for teeth cleaning, no bath mat for the slippy tiled floor. The shower attachment was broken making it difficult to use

Breakfast is served in the room and though adequate was not served at the times requested: one day it would be ten minutes early and another it would be late: one morning it was 35 minutes late!

On one occasion I returned to the hotel after being out for more than 9 hours to find the bed unmade and the breakfast tray where I had left it

It was a convenient place to stay but I would not return there or recommend it to others
