Villa Lombone, Gaeta Reviews

I'm sorely tempted to tell no one about this place, it is too wonderful and as it is new, so far fairly priced. I strongly suggest you don't attempt the drive up to it if you are a) not a confident driver, and b) don't know the width of your car as it's a pretty hair-raising climb to the top, but worth it.
The 'bed and breakfast' doesn't actually do (free) breakfast, but that's fine, as you can eat the view instead. It is a stunning hilltop resort; manicured lawns, pristine pool, and spectacular panoramic view of the hills and mountains. We had a two-floor room, with outside sofas, entrance area, inside sofa, fridge and shower room. Upstairs was a double bed set in a bright clean room, another fridge, and views out over the hotel, pool and the surrounding countryside. Additionally there is a huge empty terrace with a private view of the mountains that you could entertain 40 friends on.
It was not busy when we went, though I fully expect this to change when people catch on. The restaurant is almost exclusively seafood-based (99.9%) and despite feeling quite swanky had terrible bread and terrible butter. It served fantastic lobster gnocchi/linguine however, and we were extremely pleased with it.
